Time for some accessories! I love Ashton’s accessories so much! They take me back to my high school days. Le sigh. Nostalgia.
Anyway, these are super easy to make. You’re gonna need some supplies. These are NOT affiliate links. I am not part of Amazon’s affiliate program yet.
- Black pleather fabric (I used the leftover from the jacker, Yaya’s cosplay fabric)
- Leather straps (3/4″ light brown, 3/4″ black, 2″ Tobacco Brown)
- Faux rivets (purchased at Michaels)
- Spikes
- O rings
- Flat metal to turn o rings into buckles
- Heavy duty snaps
- Connected rings
- chain (search jewelry making chain)
Okay, let’s go! First, sketch your ideas and add your own measurements. This will help you later down the road. I took this photo before adding my measurements, sorry.

I decided to start with the large wrap bracelet because it should be the hardest to make. So, like most things I make, I started with a plastic wrap and tape pattern. Wrap your right forearm, draw design, cut it out.

Use that to create your pattern. I didn’t create a paper pattern, and instead just used the tape pattern and traced around it onto my black pleather. Be sure to give yourself at least a 1/4″ seam allowance on the long edges, and to extend the short edge out a bit to get the wrap look.

Make sure to cut two of these. Then, with right sides together, sew three of the edges together, leaving one of the short edges open. Turn right side out. Check the fit. Then, fold in open edge and sew around the edges.

Add your leather straps. I wrapped them around my forearm and cut to a length that looked right to me, then sewed them on the top edge (in the photo).

Now, create some buckles. Circle buckles are impossible to find. But you can get some O-rings in the size you need, then use flat jewelry metal to create the buckle portion.

Weave your leather strap through this, all the way to the end. Then weave through again to fasten.

Now, mark your rivet placement. I did 1″ apart, I believe. Just do whatever looks right to you.

Cut holes (I have a leather punch that I used) then install rivets.

Next, let’s make the black leather spike band! Put the wrap bracelet on. Measure around your forearm just above. I ended up just measuring it out using the black leather, overlapping about 1.5″ for the buttons. Cut. Then, measure out your snaps and spikes. I started the snaps 1/2″ from the end and 1″ apart. Then started the spikes 1/2″ from the snaps and also 1″ apart. Punch holes.

Install spikes. The ones I got screwed on.

Add heavy duty snaps. It is important that you get heavy duty snaps, or they likely won’t work and will pull apart.

Finished! On to the thick brown bracelet. Cut to length, making sure to overlap approximately 1/2″ to accommodate your snaps. Mark snap and rivet locations. Again, I did the snaps 1/2″ from the edge, and started the the rivets 1/2″ from the snaps, then 1″ apart.

Punch holes.

Add rivets and snaps.

Now let’s move on to the rings.
You’re going to need to start with a ring chain already and deconstruct it a bit. I removed two of the rings from the set.

Next, add the larger chain. They’re rings have two strings. I eyeball measured this, just using a length that looked right.

Thankfully, the package I got included a single thick band that worked for their look.

And you’re finished! Try everything on and make sure it fits!

I hope this helps! We are well on our way to having a completed Ashton cosplay!
